Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

This is the one that has the leaves in it.
Story down below when
will I ever get this straight?

Good Evening My Stitcting Friends!

I am glad to report that I measured
Jenny Bean Halloween
and it looks like the frog,

Did not stop here again!!!

I am so thrilled cause if I had to
take out the side leaves
I don't have enough thread to
put it back in without going
to another dye lot.

Oh, well I can work on it again soon,
but now I am working on a
piece that my sister wants me
to stitch since I am retired!!!

It's for her friend and I have
finally got some of the verse
It all has to be counted and you know
the rule count twice, stitch once.

Some retirement!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
I appreciate it so much.

Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

This is the piece I stitched for hours
but frogged for a lot less.
And I did it all without a Frappe!

Now it looks like the bottom is off.

It also looks like the top right
pumpkin is lopsided, too.

Is this piece cursed or something?

This is my Jenny Bean Halloween I worked on this weekend.

This is the progrees I made after I
frogged the right side twice.

But looking at this right now it
looks like I am going to need to check
out the bottom.

I think I will cry if it is wrong again.

Is this the large space that the
devil can leave this piece?

Come by tomorrow same time same station and see what's up!

I appreciate any and all comments they help make it all worthwhile.

God Bless your stitching fingers ~

Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

A few days ago I got this much
done on Jenny Bean Halloween.
I finished for the night then
discovered I had the frog
visit in the wee hours while
I was asleep!!!

Crafty little devil!

So I did my ripping and started again.

This is the progress on my
Jenny Bean Halloween tonight.

I only had to take it out twice, once
cause it was stitched off by one stitch.

The other time cause
I went up too high on the top.
Unfortuntatly, it threw
the whole side off.

What it took one hour to stitch
was ripped out in about 10 minutes.

I was talking to an author I have become
friends with and I told him I did some
rewriting (ripping) with fabric while he did
it on paper.

Seems like he has the easier job, as
long as he isn't having writers

He wouldn't agree with me!

He does have a much harder job.
He has to follow the rules
and his heart and I just
have to be able to count and
follow the pattern.

Thanks for dropping by and taking
a look again. I appreciate it so much.

God Bless your stitching fingers ~

Remember God loves you, so much!!!

Halloween Rules . . .

Good Morning! ~ all ~

This is the progress I have made on my Halloween rules.

I am loving this fabric and am
so glad I chose it after all.

Once I got used to the count,
it's a 32, which I don't usually like ~ it isn't so bad.

I have the dog to do on the other side and
this first block will happily be done.

Short and sweet and slow and steady
wins the race, so I will leave
with that.

Take care all my stitching friends and
God Bless your stitching fingers ~

I hope soon to have some really
good news ~

Love to all ~

This is Olga, the cat.

As you can plainly see she is a
Halloween stitchery!!!

I have all of the alphabet done.
There are some little Quaker Motif's
mixed in with the Alphabet to do.

She has been one of the MIA ~ UFO's.
I know now when she got lost in that tote.
It was when we got ready to finally
do the floors.
After waiting for almost a year.

I made two file size totes for my UFO's.
I put them in the garage.

Had the floors done and in the meantime
I forgot all about them.

It happens ~ when you start getting old ~

I only have a small part left to do
on her so I best get busy!!!

This is the other MIA ~ UFO I was talking about in last blog!!!

If anyone had bet which of the 12 totes,
in my room, this would have been in
you would have been ~ SOL!!!

I spent two hours looking through
the totes,
looking at all my projects
left to do.
I am going to have to live
to be two hundred to get them all done.

My mom would say three, but what does she
know from stitching!!!?

So this very minute I am going to
go get busy on one of them!

Jenny Bean Halloween . . . and Frappes

This is Jenny Bean Halloween I started some time ago.

Today I went and visited a site of
Siobhan's Stitches!
Notes From Blue Hen Hallow is
the name of her blog.

Check it out!!!

Oh, my Heavens what a blog it was My oh My!
She has done so many samplers and
The Shores of Hawks Run Hallow, too.
I am working on that one, too
I don't even have the first
block done yet!!!

She also had this one done
which I also have started.

So, I am going to look for it tonight
and if I feel like it tomorrow night, after
freight day, I am going to stitch
on it some more.

Mind you, I know it is in my room in a tote
but which of the 12 totes do you think
it is in?
I should have a contest
to see if someone
could guess.

You would lose I fear!!!

OK, I am addicted to the Caramel Frappe'
from McDonald's.

It's a fact!!!

I try to limit myself to three a week.

I am losing weight and who needs this?

Certainly, not me.
Besides the coffee probably
isn't good for my heart!!!

I have lost 16 pounds to date
and I now weigh 156. YEA!!! Happy
dance all over the house.

I can actually get into
my size 14 jeans
and they are already
a little big.

My goal is 143 but I don't
know if I can stop there.

I just don't have any
so it makes it very easy not
to eat.

I used to love food but
I think I loved it too much.

The most amazing thing is
now I have seen
two good looking guys
checking me out when
I walk by them,
out of the corner of my eye.

It just amazes me!!!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a
comment ~ if possible.
It does make
you want to keep doing this craft.
Say a prayer I find Jenny Bean.

Oh, Jenny Bean where are you?

God bless all those stitching fingers ~
and especially Siobhan's they must
smoke when she goes to bed.

Halloween. . . The Branch

Here is my update on When the Owl and
Witch together are Seen,

etc. . . etc. . . etc
Done on 32 count Herotic linen fabric
with over dyed threads.

It actually is coming along nicely
considering the day I had at work
today. It was typical Monday
after a vacation.

I am glad I was not at work last
week because they had a week
of He ~ ~ double toothpicks!!!

I did something very stupid during
my vacation and it made the whole
week horrible.
Today was really no better.

So when I got home tonight I
really needed to do some stitching.
It always calms me down and I
can get through the evening.

I also watched Yankee Doodle Dandy
on TCM tonight, I just love that
movie staring James Cagney.
It was a flag waver, perfect
for 4th of July.
I enjoyed it very much.
James does
a spectacular job of singing, dancing
and acting.
I have always liked him
So what better piece to stitch on than
my Halloween one so here it is . . . ENJOY!!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have your
tea or a cup of Joe.

Take care all and remember to Thank God
for your freedom.

God Bless your stitching fingers . . .

July Angel . . .

Happy Independence Day!!!

This is the Angel I did in 2000 for the 4th of July!

Isn't she the cutest little one?
I had to get my magnifying glass out to see
what date I stitched her.

I always put my name and date, in
thread, the same color as the background
fabric and it makes it very Hard to see,
much less read!!!

I had red hair at the time so I actually
coached down some other
threads that were not for stitching,
I had acquired from a friend for her hair!!!

She was such a HOOT to stitch. I had so
much fun doing her. The little buttons
for the basket, bee, bird and
came with the pattern
and it just makes it come together perfectly.

I used the threads that were called
for and put them down on my favorite
fabric in a 28 count.

They don't make
the fabric anymore so I bought 2 yards
from Hobby Lobby
before it was all gone.

It's a good thing cause I can't, for the life
of me, remember the name of the fabric.

If I had known I would live this long I would
have bought another 3 yards.

I have done several angels in the past, a Christmas
One, Noah's Ark, an Autumn One and a Halloween One.
The Halloween One is ~ Willa's Broomstick Co.
Made with a Zing!!!
I will have to take a picture, cause I had
forgotten how darlin' she is!!!

That will be my next post tomorrow
night. I am on vacation this week
so I have nothing but time.

I have the patterns for about a gazillion more so
maybe someday I will work on them again.

So many stitching's and so little time.

It's hard when you don't have the time and you work.
Time flies so fast. One day it is Monday and
the next day it is Friday.
I also make cards and I am working on my son's
get well cards and a special person
who missed a lot of holidays.

Guess I had better close for now. I will leave you with this
thought ~

How sad would it be if our Fore
Fathers had not fought so hard for the privileges
we have as Americans to be FREE???

How sad would it be if the next generations
had not cared that we were free
and kept
that privilege of Freedom for us to enjoy???

How sad if all those sacrifices would have been
in vain???

Let's not forget this year and
every year from now on just how
very Precious
that Privilege is to us all!!!

And how many made it possible for us
to enjoy!!!

God Bless America
It Is the Best Place To Be on This Earth!!!

Thanks for dropping by and thanks for the comments
if you could leave one.

God Bless your stitching fingers . . .
Take care ~

Halloween. . . The Branch

I know, I know don't yell at me!!!

This is called ~ Halloween ~

The Branch by Bent Creek,

It is the newest piece
they have put out
and being
Halloween I had to have it.

But, in my own defense
I had the fabric,
most of the threads,
so I only had to buy three patterns.

I decided to use Heroic for the fabric
by Picture This Plus!!! ~ again.

I told you I had a big piece left over!!!

I think The Branch
with the tree house, owl, birds,
webs, spiders and little house
will look smashing on this
piece of fabric.

It has all the colors of Halloween
and it will go
with all my other ones
I have started!!!

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless
your stitching fingers . . .

Autumn Angel, Christmas Angel and 40 Days Angel, Noah's Ark . . .

The first one up is the Autumn Angel.

She was done with the colors called
for in the Fancy That pattern.
I stitched all of them in 1997,
a long time ago.

I used a linen fabric, probably,
28 count ~ you think?

I put orange sparkles in her wings,
in her garden of corn stalks and
a pumpkin.

Her body is a bird house
and there is a fence
at the bottom which the crow is
perched upon.

He lives in the mailbox
that serves as his house
with the word Crow
on the side.

The flag is up!!!

She has a star on her halo
and a bee that does glow in
the dark ~ on the vine.
She also has little pumpkins
on her slippers.

The second one is a Christmas Angel.

She was stitched on a very light green
linen fabric, 28 count.

I used the threads called for in the pattern
and added a sparkly thread in white
for the wings.

There are lights in her halo and
button light bulbs
in her wreath
with a huge red bow on the top.

She is surrounded by packages
and flanked by a Christmas tree.
She has big stars on her slippers.

And last is the Noah's Ark Angel.

She is stitched on a grey blue
linen fabric with the over dyed
threads called for
in the pattern.

She has sparkles in her wings,
there is a half moon, sun and star
that also has sparkles.

She has a bird on her halo and
a vast a ray of stars, and a bird
surrounding her body.

There is also a little, big, fish
peeking out of the waves.

For embellishment's she has
a cool turtle
and fish button
I found somewhere, that
makes it look 3D.

She is bravely standing in the waves ~
while over her head it says ~

40 days and 40 nights!!!

I remember back to 1997,
I had such a blast
stitching these three Angels,
one after the other.

I worked at Frames Etc. then and
I framed them all there.

The Noah's Ark one has a floated
look and the mat board is covering
the floated substrate.

It creates dimension and protects the
glass from being broken by the buttons.

If you don't raise the glass above
any hard object, ie button,
shell, or rock the pressure caused
by the object will eventually
break the glass.

Your Welcome!!!

The turtle is also a bit larger than
the rest of the buttons so I
needed to raise the
glass above the picture.

As usual, thanks for looking at the craft I
dearly love.

Your comments are always welcome!!!
God Bless your Stitching fingers . . .

My Pride and Joy . . . Tristan

This is my son, Tristan, one of my Joys in life.

He has been ill ~
but he is working very hard
to get better.

I went to his FB page and there
is a picture of him playing with,
Pearl, the poodle, who belongs
to his wife.
She is a very neat dog and she loves
her many tennis balls and
her two masters.
It made my heart sing to see him looking
so much better than I thought he would look.

He is a sweet, gentle, nice man who is so
grateful for all the prayers he has received
from strangers.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all
of my stitching friends who have offered up
a prayer or chant for his complete recovery.

Prayer does help, I know, and it is so appreciated
by all of my family.

Tristan, we all want you to know that we love you
very much,
love your sense of humor and
can't even begin to imagine a world without
you in it.

Your constant laughter is something
that is such a part of our lives.

Your brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law
and nieces and nephews
feel the same way.
They love their Uncle Tristan so much.

Magoo, has also been praying for you.

Please, do what the doctors say, EAT and
get well soon.

I also want to thank his wife, Morgan, for all
she has been to him, for loving him so much
and for being there to keep him safe.

Thanks so much Sweetheart ~
You are the
best woman he could have ever married.

Hope to see you soon on your turf!!!
The SEA!!! YEA!!!

God Bless your stitching fingers all . . .

Thanks for dropping by ~
