Kimono Pagoda View

This is the progress I have made tonight.

The bottom set of leaves, you see
it's a tree, was off by one stitch.

The dirty rotten FROG had payed
me a visit. I discovered it when
I was 15 rows into the leaf.

What took me hours to stitch
was pulled out in about 10 minutes!!!

Tonight I put it all back then proceeded
to put the mountain in wrong. I corrected
my mistake and have it back in now.
Thus the late hour!!!

Like I said in the first post ~
I would not ever stitch this for me.
Tonight proves it to me for sure!

Plus the kit was minus one skien
of floss and I have to order
it because it is Anchor.
Of course, I have already
needed that color which is
how I found out it was not
included!!!

It's a good thing Lois of Nedlewerkes
is so close and so nice to send
me what I need so quickly!

I am planning to post my other
needleworks I have almost
finished, since I missed
posting them in the UFO/WIP ~
which was Monday. I will
have to catch them next
month!

Thanks for stopping by my good,
faithful followers, I appreciate
it so much. Your kind words
help me keep doing this
pasttime I truely
LOVE!!

Kimono Pagoda View

This is the project I am
working on at the moment.
It is a Japanese Pagoda and this
is the progress I made tonight.

It is not for me and I would
never do it because I have seen
many Geisha's that are so much
prettier and have stitched two
for other people and they
were gorgeous if I do
say so myself!

It has been an age since I have posted
anything, cause I have been working
on my cards, mostly, while
I am staying at home and
taking care of my mom.

I went to retreat in May and have
tried to get into stitching again.
After I got home I decided to work
on some of my UFO/WIP,
I got two finished and three are
almost done and that is progress
and that feels Great!

To quote a Tiger!!!

I am so happy you stopped by and I
will try and keep stitching
and making some
progress along the way.

Thanks so much and God Bless
     your stitching fingers!!!

Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

This is the one that has the leaves in it.
Story down below when
will I ever get this straight?

Good Evening My Stitcting Friends!

I am glad to report that I measured
Jenny Bean Halloween
and it looks like the frog,

Did not stop here again!!!

I am so thrilled cause if I had to
take out the side leaves
I don't have enough thread to
put it back in without going
to another dye lot.

Oh, well I can work on it again soon,
but now I am working on a
piece that my sister wants me
to stitch since I am retired!!!

It's for her friend and I have
finally got some of the verse
stitched.
It all has to be counted and you know
the rule count twice, stitch once.

Some retirement!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
I appreciate it so much.

Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

This is the piece I stitched for hours
but frogged for a lot less.
And I did it all without a Frappe!

Now it looks like the bottom is off.

It also looks like the top right
pumpkin is lopsided, too.

Is this piece cursed or something?

This is my Jenny Bean Halloween I worked on this weekend.

This is the progrees I made after I
frogged the right side twice.

But looking at this right now it
looks like I am going to need to check
out the bottom.

I think I will cry if it is wrong again.

Is this the large space that the
devil can leave this piece?

Come by tomorrow same time same station and see what's up!

I appreciate any and all comments they help make it all worthwhile.

God Bless your stitching fingers ~

Jenny Bean Halloween . . .

A few days ago I got this much
done on Jenny Bean Halloween.
I finished for the night then
discovered I had the frog
visit in the wee hours while
I was asleep!!!

Crafty little devil!

So I did my ripping and started again.

This is the progress on my
Jenny Bean Halloween tonight.

I only had to take it out twice, once
cause it was stitched off by one stitch.

The other time cause
I went up too high on the top.
Unfortuntatly, it threw
the whole side off.

What it took one hour to stitch
was ripped out in about 10 minutes.

I was talking to an author I have become
friends with and I told him I did some
rewriting (ripping) with fabric while he did
it on paper.

Seems like he has the easier job, as
long as he isn't having writers
block!!!

He wouldn't agree with me!

He does have a much harder job.
He has to follow the rules
and his heart and I just
have to be able to count and
follow the pattern.

Thanks for dropping by and taking
a look again. I appreciate it so much.

Halloween Rules . . .

Good Morning! ~ all ~

This is the progress I have made on my Halloween rules.

I am loving this fabric and am
so glad I chose it after all.

Once I got used to the count,
it's a 32, which I don't usually like ~ it isn't so bad.

I have the dog to do on the other side and
this first block will happily be done.

Short and sweet and slow and steady
wins the race, so I will leave
you
with that.

Take care all my stitching friends and
God Bless your stitching fingers ~

I hope soon to have some really
good news ~

Love to all ~

This is Olga, the cat.

As you can plainly see she is a
Halloween stitchery!!!

I have all of the alphabet done.
There are some little Quaker Motif's
mixed in with the Alphabet to do.

She has been one of the MIA ~ UFO's.
I know now when she got lost in that tote.
It was when we got ready to finally
do the floors.
After waiting for almost a year.

I made two file size totes for my UFO's.
I put them in the garage.

Had the floors done and in the meantime
I forgot all about them.

It happens ~ when you start getting old ~

I only have a small part left to do
on her so I best get busy!!!

HUH???

This is the other MIA ~ UFO I was talking about in last blog!!!

If anyone had bet which of the 12 totes,
in my room, this would have been in
you would have been ~ SOL!!!

I spent two hours looking through
the totes,
looking at all my projects
left to do.
I am going to have to live
to be two hundred to get them all done.

My mom would say three, but what does she
know from stitching!!!?

So this very minute I am going to
go get busy on one of them!

Jenny Bean Halloween . . . and Frappes

This is Jenny Bean Halloween I started some time ago.

Today I went and visited a site of
Siobhan's Stitches!
Notes From Blue Hen Hallow is
the name of her blog.

Check it out!!!

Oh, my Heavens what a blog it was My oh My!
She has done so many samplers and
The Shores of Hawks Run Hallow, too.
I am working on that one, too
I don't even have the first
block done yet!!!

She also had this one done
which I also have started.

So, I am going to look for it tonight
and if I feel like it tomorrow night, after
freight day, I am going to stitch
on it some more.

Mind you, I know it is in my room in a tote
but which of the 12 totes do you think
it is in?
I should have a contest
to see if someone
could guess.

You would lose I fear!!!

OK, I am addicted to the Caramel Frappe'
from McDonald's.

It's a fact!!!

I try to limit myself to three a week.

I am losing weight and who needs this?

Certainly, not me.
Besides the coffee probably
isn't good for my heart!!!

I have lost 16 pounds to date
and I now weigh 156. YEA!!! Happy
dance all over the house.

I can actually get into
my size 14 jeans
and they are already
a little big.

My goal is 143 but I don't
know if I can stop there.

I just don't have any
appetite
so it makes it very easy not
to eat.

I used to love food but
I think I loved it too much.

The most amazing thing is
now I have seen
two good looking guys
checking me out when
I walk by them,
out of the corner of my eye.

Really???
It just amazes me!!!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a
comment ~ if possible.
It does make
you want to keep doing this craft.
Say a prayer I find Jenny Bean.

Oh, Jenny Bean where are you?

God bless all those stitching fingers ~
and especially Siobhan's they must
smoke when she goes to bed.
